The Caribbean Export Development Agency with funding from Commonwealth Secretariat embarked on a pilot project, Promotion of Professional Services in the Commonwealth Caribbean in 2006 for Barbados, Dominica, Saint Lucia and Trinidad and Tobago.

The project focused on six areas of Professional Services namely:

Health and Wellness
Education
Business Development services
ICT
Construction-related services
Production Services for the Entertainment Industry
